The Land Cover Trends project is making its data available for free download by anyone interested in further analysis and geographic research. At this time, the data being released includes:
the five land cover image maps derived for each sample block,
the raw Landsat images used by the interpreters,
the change matrix images showing all the conversions that occurred between two dates, and
the multi-change images indicating the number of times an area changed between 1972 and 2000.
All images are in an ERDAS Imagine file format. The data is packaged by ecoregion and compressed into a ZIP file for easy distribution. In the future, field photography and statistical tables will become available. Please check back at a later date for additional data and information.
